Ivey Professors Emeriti Jim Erskine and Michiel Leenders and Louise Mauffette-Leenders, a former Ivey case writer and research associate, are being honoured this month by the ecch, a case publishing and distributing organization, for their lifetime achievements with the case method.
Erskine received the outstanding contribution to the case method award at the ecch Writing Cases Workshop at National University of Singapore on June 11. Leenders and Mauffette-Leenders will receive the same award at ecch’s Teaching with Cases Workshop, which will be held at the AESE Business School in Portugal June 27-29.
Both Erskine and Leenders founded Ivey’s annual case writing workshop 43 years ago and have made significant contributions to Ivey’s case-study tradition. Together they have conducted more than 400 case writing and case teaching workshops for thousands of participants in more than 50 countries.
